Automotive/Communications Scholarship

Route 385 Cruisers and KCOW Radio

 

The Route 385 Cruisers and KCOW Radio are pleased to offer a $1000.00 (one thousand dollar) scholarship to a qualified Alliance High School senior or graduate planning to enroll full-time in an accredited college or vocational school for the achievement of a degree in either an automotive related field or communications/broadcasting.  This scholarship is offered by the Route 385 Cruisers and KCOW Radio with APSF matching funds.

                CRITERIA:

·         Alliance High School graduate.

·         Student must be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university for 2013-2014 school year.

APPLICATION:

·         Cover letter (maximum on page) providing applicant’s background, course of study and name of college or university attending, community service, leadership skills, offices held, awards and special recognition; why applicant is applying for this scholarship, why you think you deserve it, and what is your intended major.

·         Two character references – one from someone in the Alliance Public School system who is aware of your academic and/or leadership skills and community involvement; and one from someone outside of the school system (must not be a family member).

·         Current transcripts and ACT/SAT results.

·         A list of other scholarships applied for at the time of submission of this scholarship application.

Scholarship funds must be used during the 2013-2014 academic year.  Funds cannot be applied to loans.
